Major Issues
Education: Young, like most, believes that education is one of the most important aspects of a child's life. He is in strong opposition to the one size fits all strategy. He also expresses concern about the federal government's "stranglehold" on higher education student financing which he believes has caused rising student debt. Young introduced the Investing in Student Success Act of 2015 to help solve these issues.
Healthcare: Young is not in support of Obamacare. He believes that a reform is needed to keep health related decisions between you and your doctor and not between you and the government. He supports the idea of insurance to be able to be acquired across state lines and reforms to medicare to allow people to choose the coverage that best fits their needs.
